Anthony “Tony” Sclama is a Board Certified physician and fiction writer. He holds degrees in Biology from Georgetown University, and Human Physiology from Georgetown University School of Medicine. After two years at the University of Rome, Italy School of Medicine, “an amazing life experience,” he completed his medical studies and received his MD degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in Urology and Urologic Surgery. He also holds a degree in Business-Healthcare Management from the Johns Hopkins University School of Continuing Studies. Originally a Rhode Island native, during his thirty-two year career he was engaged in the full-time private practice of Urology in Baltimore, Maryland, and served on the hospital executive team as Chief Medical Officer.
Now retired, he and his wife have three grown children, and currently reside in a Delaware coastal community.
An avid reader, he is a member of the Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild and participates in several online writers groups. He is pursuing his long-time ambition to write medical and scientific suspense and thrillers. His first novel, Wrongful Acts, was published in July, 2021, and is a story of scientific deceit and the dangers of human genetic engineering. See his book page for purchase links.
